There are endless applications. The Internet poses great challenges to the development of the global telecommunications industry. Therefore, global telecom operators have proposed transformations, and domestic operators have also transformed to integrated information services. In this context, the voice communication network (voice network) also needs to be transformed in a timely manner. At present, the transformation direction of the voice network mainly includes: (1) IP, provide efficient and low-cost VoIP services; (2) Internal integration of multiple communication methods (such as fixed voice, mobile voice, VoIP, SMS, etc.) and integration with external communication methods (such as Internet IM, E-mail, etc.); (3) Take advantage of the Internet and combine with Internet applications to complement the advantages of the voice network and the Internet and provide users with new Internet-based voice applications. This article mainly analyzes and studies the integration of voice network and Internet. 2. Features of the Internet The reason why the Internet can develop so fast is that on the one hand, the terminal and network costs have dropped significantly, on the other hand, it is also determined by the characteristics of the Internet itself. (1) The main features of the Internet â— The Internet is an open and free network platform. (2) Disadvantages of the Internet â— The profit model of the Internet is relatively simple. Most Internet companies earn profits through advertising and providing services. There is a bottleneck in the profit space, and there is fierce competition directly with other media. Voice network features As a traditional voice communication service providing network, voice network has achieved great success. (1) Advantages of voice network â— The number of users is large. The telephone network has a history of more than 100 years. At present, there are more than 3 billion telephone users (including mobile phone users) in the world, and users have established strong usage habits. â— Provide stable and reliable calling service. The telephone network has a very good quality guarantee. â— Strong billing capacity and charging channels. Users have good payment habits when using telecommunication services. However, the voice network has a clear disadvantage compared to the Internet. (2) The disadvantage of voice network â— Voice network network capability is very strong, but the terminal is relatively simpler, so the services that the voice network can provide are relatively single, mainly voice calls, and user operations are inconvenient. â— Voice network has always been committed to open network capabilities, but so far voice network is still a semi-closed network, which determines its business opening period is relatively long, it is difficult to quickly meet user needs.
